December 22nd, 2023 Dear families of St Mary's, We can't quite believe that the end of the autumn term is ...
I would like to wish you a warm welcome to St Mary’s Primary School. We are a small, nurturing one form entry school in Chessington with a big family of committed staff and pupils. We aspire to be the absolute best we can be and we love to learn! We believe that each one of us is unique and that learning must be tailored to help everyone to fulfil their potential. We want all pupils to feel happy, safe and valued. At St Mary’s, we believe that learning must be meaningful and memorable so that our pupils are prepared for the next stage of their education and beyond. We place the children at the centre of all we do and build upon the foundations of knowledge and skills they have.
Within a secure and nurturing environment, we strive to develop the potential of each pupil in partnership with our families, staff and governors.
If you would like to find out more about our school, then we would love to welcome you to visit us.

Dear families of St Mary's, We can't quite believe that the end of the autumn term is here again! St Mary's family have been incredibly busy over the past few weeks and there has been an extra special feeling in the air with Christmas festivities. Thank you to our staff, families and children for all the support and dedication you have shown to our wonderful school this year. We continue to evolve and flourish in all we do and feel exceptionally proud of the community we are part of and will continue to nurture and grow together! Christmas time may not be easy for everyone. Should you feel you require support at this time of year the following website, Mental Health UK, has some helpful information on it. You can access the website by clicking here. However you spend the upcoming break, I hope you and your families have a lovely time and that you find many moments to enjoy, laugh and relax! We look forward to welcoming the children back on Tuesday 9th January. See you in 2024!

On Thursday 3rd July, straight after school, Year 4 will be holding a "second hand uniform swap" on the playground. They have been learning about sustainability and thought it would be a good way to make sure we are doing our bit to recycle clothes.
If you have any uniform that no longer fits your child, please can you bring it into school between Monday 1st and Wednesday 3rd of July. Year 4 will then sort the clothing into age groups, ready to display at the end of the day. As the purpose of this is to recyle, we are not asking for money. However, if you would like to make a donation to the school, please feel free to do this.
This event can only take place if we have enough donations. Please make sure any donated items are in usable condition.
